Testimonials

Breathtaking, peaceful, and an unforgettable experience.

Discover how the Okefenokee has inspired awe, sparked curiosity, and created lifelong memories, straight from the voices of our visitors.

If there is a place to visit in Georgia and Florida, it’s the Okefenokee Swamp. To be able to see wildlife up close is amazing, and a nature preserve that is part zoo and part wildlife preserve means seeing and learning about the wildlife in our area. Combined with a town reached by train and a short boat tour, it’s a great starting point for families and wildlife observers.

We opted to do the first tour of the day to see as much wildlife as possible. We were not disappointed! Our captain and naturalist pointed out baby Barred owls, dozens of gators, and countless herons and egrets. We got lucky enough to watch a red-shouldered hawk feed its fresh hatchlings. Overall, we had a great morning visiting Okefenokee!

We had a wonderful, informative, and fun guided boat tour with our guide, Nick. We saw several alligators and herons and learned a lot about the park’s history and its flora and fauna. We booked in advance. Thank you for the memorable experience!
