Are you interested in birds but don’t know where to start?
Are you an experienced birder looking for a new adventure?
Join the OSP on February 17th and/or 18th for the Great Backyard Bird Count! Participants will have the opportunity to do a nature walk with an experienced naturalist who will discuss the basics of birding and introduce novice birders to the community science project, eBird. Experienced birders will have the opportunity to bird in a location often inaccessible to the public.
The Great Backyard Bird Count is a worldwide project with the goal of better understanding global bird populations before they begin to migrate. Help us take part in this important community science project and make a difference in our small corner of the world!
This program is FREE for all participants. Individuals who wish to extend their day at the OSP and take part in other activities must pay the OSP admission fee. Binoculars are available upon request.
