Canoe & Kayak Rentals

Solo and Tandem canoes and kayaks are available for rent for those who want to explore the swamp on their own. It’s helpful to have some paddling experience but it’s not required. We’ll show you a map of the trails and send you on your way. The trails are well marked and easy to follow.

Daily Rental Rates

(includes PFD’s and paddles)

During the months of March – October, all boats must be off the water by 6pm.

During the months of November – February, all boats must be off the water by 4pm.

Multi-day Rental Rates for Okefenokee Wilderness Trips

(Permits are required for an Okefenokee Wilderness Trail, multi-day rentals are available.)

$40 per day Canoe rental
$25 per day Single kayaks

Price includes PFD’s and paddles but does not include shuttle service.

Jon Boat Rentals

Daily Rental Rates

Explore spectacular scenery and wildlife activity along the Suwannee Canal for up to 6 hours. Entry into Chesser Prairie may be limited according to water level and trail conditions.
Experience and competence operating small tiller driven motorboats is required to rent.
For the safety of our guests, Okefenokee Adventures reserves the right to deny the rental if it is determined that the criteria for renting is not met.

$135 1 – 4 people
$150 5 – 6 people

In addition to the rental fee, you will also be required to pay a refundable $100 security deposit
on site prior to taking out the rental Jon Boat.

Gear Rentals

Okefenokee Adventures rents camping gear for use on Okefenokee wilderness canoe trips. Reservations to rent gear should be made at least 10 days in advance. Since we can not guarantee all the gear you need will be available, you may need time to acquire some of the gear elsewhere.

We rewash and sanitize all kitchen kits upon return but all items in the kit must be clean before returning. There will be a $25 charge if kitchen kits are returned unwashed.

Bicycle Rentals

$20: Bicycles rent for all or any part of the day.

$50: Bike Hike Tour.

Bicycles can be rented to ride within the refuge on Swamp Island Drive. Swamp Island Drive is 7.5 miles of paved, flat road. Numerous walking trails along the way offer bike racks so you can park and walk. Bicycles are not permitted on any of the walking trails. Bicycles must stay on the paved roadway.

Georgia law requires that a bicycle helmet must be worn for anyone under the age of 16. Helmets are included with the price of the bicycle rental.
